Streaming
Since the filing sharing debate of Napster, streaming has become a revolutionary way of listening to music. However, it has also spurred several different websites for streaming services, all of which offer different benefits to musicians. Spotify is widely recognized as the most popular of the streaming services, making its' debut in Sweden in 2008. Since the popularity of Spotify, however, sites such as Pandora and last.fm have developed which are tailored towards more indie artists. That hasn't stopped the formation of true possible competitors for Spotify though, with the introduction of Tidal in 2014, a service developed by Jay-Z, being promoted by musicians over Spotify.
